BILLLLLLLLLLLLL! Part 2
We open "Please Post Bills" tomorrow night with an opening reception from 7-10 PM at G1988 (Melrose). We are so excited to debut this tribute to a comedic genius and the sneak peeks seem to be all over the Internet right now, so we figured we'd get in on the action. AND check out this week's Entertainment Weekly for a little blurb, and image, from the show as well!

Last Page
It's time for the final sneak preview before we open "Required Reading" tonight at Gallery1988 (melrose). This exhibit is curated by OMGPosters and artist Rob Jones. The show runs 7-10 PM and it's going to rule. We're a bit busy, so I'm just going to get to the goods...
Mike Mitchell's ode to the classic tale of The Invisible Man is one of my favorites from the show. This is actually a giclee print and is 8.25 x 19.75. It'll be on display, and available, starting tonight at 7 PM. Be here or hate reading!

Paley Feast
First up, the DKNG Studios True Blood poster is now online is VERY limited numbers...
These are $35 each, limited to 250, signed & numbered and most importantly, AVAILABLE BY CLICKING HERE.
And let's debut a bunch of the remaining posters!
On March 9th, PaleyFest honors Parks & Recreation, a sitcom with an amazing fan base and equally impressive cast. For this poster we went to arguably the top pop culture poster artist around, Sir Mike Mitchell. Mike is a huge fan of the show and that shows in his creation. Ladies and gentlemen...
First time you can get the Parks & Rec poster will be at the Saban Theater on March 9th for their panel (and there are still tickets available to attend, CLICK HERE FOR THOSE!). If there are any left, you'll be able to pick them up at gallery1988.com.
On March 10th, Paleyfest pays tribute to one of my favorite shows, and characters, with Eastbound & Down. There are very few characters on TV as dynamic as Kenny Powers, so we wanted to make sure the poster captured that magic. And it DOES! Artist Derek Deal throws a perfect strike, and I know this one is going to be a PaleyFest fav...
Same as Parks & Rec, this will be first be available at the event on March 10th. Tickets are still available for the night (with Danny McBride, Stevie AND Will Ferrell scheduled to appear. CLICK HERE FOR THOSE!). And if they last, online the next day.
And...our friends at Slashfilm have debuted the Freaks & Geeks/Undeclared reunion poster by G1988 newcomers Phantom City Creative. On March 12th, the PaleyFest peeps did the unthinkable and got basically the entire casts of both show to reunite on one stage, and we got to do the poster! And its absolutely stunning.

Incredible, right? Unfortunately, that night is sold out, but if any remain they'll be online 0 just like the True Blood one above (although any of these might not last long).
We have only one poster to unveil left, and that's Glee by Tom Whalen. It's so good too! And we know how rabid their fans are. Look for that poster near the end of the week here on this blog.

Another Set
Our homies at FunnyOrDie.com debuted two new pieces for "Is This Thing On?" our show that opens this Friday night with an opening reception from 7-11 PM. It's the Melrose location, and I promise, it's an amazing show. Trust my promises.
One piece unveiled today was from Mike Mitchell and depicts everyone's favorite 2010 MVP, Zach Galifianakis.
This one is going to be super limited, so don't sleep. (Although Zach is narcoleptic, that was not a pun).
Next up, Drake Brodhal gives us his take on your favorite comedian's favorite comedian, Gilbert Gottfried.

Ooooh! Culty.
The day before Crazy 4 Cult 4 opens, and the gallery is abuzz with anticipation. The art really is so impressive, I hope as many of you as possible can swing by the opening reception, Friday night, 7 - 10 PM. With Kevin Smith hyping it up on KROQ this morning (which is becoming an annual tradition in its own right), we're expecting quite a fun evening.
For those interested in purchasing prints (which by the amount of emails seems like everyone), the first time they will be available is at the opening reception on Friday night. Then, prints will be for sale online at our website, gallery1988.com, on Saturday afternoon. And all the originals will be up then too!
And we will start the line outside the gallery at 5 PM PT.
Time for sneak peeks again...
Stella Im Hultberg, who's portrait of Marla from Fight Club is a major highlight from Crazy 4 Cult's past, returns for CFC, this time giving us her take on Mathilda from 'Leon: The Professional." She basically did it again, as this piece is stunning.
Justin Santora celebrates the 15th Anniversary of Mallrats with a poster depicting "that kid on the escalator." One of my favorite moments from one of my favorite movies. Can't wait for people to get this signed by Kevin Smith himself.
G1988 newbie Scott Listfield literally has BLOWN us all away. This incredible piece is even more stunning in person and lays down the parking law. The trip to the opening reception would be worth it if we only displayed this one piece, trust me.
Casey Weldon and I obviously share a muse, as he takes a shot at Mathilda as well, showing us Natalie in all her NY shine.
Daniel Elson brings his meece to the show again, this time from a galaxy far, far away. Love these!
And lastly, here's the Crazy 4 Cult official poster for 2010, this time designed by Sir Mike Mitchell. I can't really praise these enough and by the amount of emails we're getting, neither can you.

Donnie was a good bowler...and a good man.
The sky has opened up a bit here in Los Angeles, and we're seeing rain on a Saturday afternoon as we de-install and paint over the installation from the Glass Hat/Grass Hut show. Sad to say goodbye to our friends from Portland, but we're making way for our next show, "The Greatest Moments In Sports History (A Poster Show)," which opens this coming Thursday night from 7-10 PM. The posters are delivered and they're soooooo good. And a good surprise? Come to the opening Thursday night, and party with the Frysmith Mobile Food Truck. YUP! A french fry food truck! That serves ONLY french fries! Like in my dreams. I CAN NOT WAIT (nom nom nom)!
Although my stomach is growling loudly, the focus of this show will obviously be the incredible sports themed posters from 45 different artists. Whether it's fictional sports they've made up or movie references, it really rounds out the show nicely. One of the funniest parts to curating this show (along with our friends at OMG Posters) has been working with the poster artists who aren't necessarily sports fans and seeing what they come up with. Whether it's fictional sports they've made up or movie references, it really rounds out the show nicely. And one of my favorites, from artist Mike Mitchell (recently Internet famous from his "I'm With CoCo" imagery), is below...
