Another day, another intro to a brand new artist to 1988 with blog exclusive affordable artwork!
This one might be our best yet, with Australian artist Jodee Knowles. The 24 year-old has an insanely unique style and dropped some pieces off with us during her recent visit to LA. I swear these things are awesome in person, with such an alluring vibe to the faces. We expect BIG things from Jodee. Each piece is beautifully framed and matted in a gold vitange-seeming frame (with glass), which you can see in the pics as well.

As we wind up on the Cover Band show, I realized a lot of these covers have sold! It really was such a fun, different show and we're looking forward to revisiting it some time in the future. But I also realized that Justin Kalmen's album cover, his take on the Prince classic "Purple Rain" is still available.
You can see Justin turned the Prince classic into a record cover for a whole new band, "Demon Joy Kill Club," and their release "Purple Pain." You can see the whole band of misfits right there on the cover, but even cooler? You can listen to the original music that Justin created for this band! YES, this band is now making music! They cover "When The Doves Cry," but there's also insane original music by the band, which in reality is JUST Justin playing and singing everything. Which is bonkers.
Go to www.myspace.com/demonjoykillclub to listen to the band's music! And don't say I didn't warn you. The album cover is still available, and I'm pretty sure they might be able to play Bar Mitzvahs.
