well done Steven on g1988 test. bad luck both of you on rex test, not farmer bob or cluless. this one tests british cult movie knowledge. another couple of clues.
"We've gone on holiday by mistake. We're in this cottage here. Are you the farmer?"
"Who says it's a Camberwell Carrot?" "I do! I invented it in Camberwell, and it resembles a carrot."
Not monty P, but was sponsored by somebody who sponsored a Monty P film. The Cam Carrot was the biggest giveaway. the language of this movie is 'kin wonderful, so enjoy these excerpts.
New clues, one that's a bit L.A. sunny afternoon. "Change down man. Find your neutral space. You got a rush. It'll pass, be seated."
...and one that just sums up a life of highs
"politics man! If you're hanging onto a rising balloon, you're presented with a difficult decision. Let go before it's too late, or hang on and keep getting higher, posing the question, can you keep a grip on the rope? They're sellin' hippie wigs in Woolworth's man. The geatest decade in the history of mankind is over. And as Presuming Ed here has consistently pointed out, we have failed to paint it black!"
as for the quotes: This is Spinal Tap, Clerks, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Office Space, Harold and Maude, Willy Wonka, Rushmore, Princess Bride
this is an awful lot of fun trying to pick out all these movies and I'm having a ball and from what I've gathered, here are the ones I can pick out: Pink Flamingos, The Goonies, Borat, A Clockwork Orange, Twin Peaks, This is Spinal Tap, Donnie Darko, Point Break, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Clerks, Freak Show, Peewee's Big Adventure, Dazed and Confused, The Big Lebowski, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Ed Wood, Rushmore, Bad Seed, Half Baked, The Princess Bride, Office Space, Reservoir Dogs, Fight Club, Willy Wonka, The Silence of the Lambs, Fargo, Cable Guy, Evil Dead, Barberella, Strange Brew, Harold and Maude, Showgirls, Butterfly Effect, Mulholland Dr., Napoleon Dynamite
soooo that's what I have so far but the guy in the front is really bugging me cause it reminds me of Dennis Hopper but with the mask over his mouth, it's reminiscent of Steve Martin in "Little Shop of Horrors" as the nutty dentist...no matter though, this is going to be too cool for school and i'm super excited even to see from afar and I applaud them all for the continued creativity...gallery 1988's website has rejuvanated art so much so
Withnail and I - only obscure if you're not British and once upon a time a certain sort of student. But please take out the exclamation marks. We're more laconic in the UK, and not overly prone to such overt expressions of excitement. It should be just the words, more deadpan and no! exclamations! They detract from it.

Nobody has gotten all of thew quotes yet, and we haven't even started on the other trailer.
Thesaurus, is it a Monthy Python? If so, you heard it here first, Luke Chueh will be painting something from it.
