Each of these prints was made in-house, right here at G1988 SF and they look awesome. (Stella even said we make the best prints! It's true!)

Oh, and in response to the rumor that all the chase and OG drawings in the mini set were passed out at the opening - that's a HUGE LIE! All the sets were packaged randomly and passed out randomly, so there's no way to know who got what. In fact, I didn't see one person at the opening with a chase print or drawing. It actually makes me mad that someone would start that rumor because we worked really hard on these sets. 500 sets x 4 prints + 50 chase prints + 25 drawings. All printed and hand-cut in the gallery (except the drawings). You do the math. Cmon guys!

We got our sign up at the SF gallery! No more complaining that we're hard to find. It's a huge sign - 8FT!

And in Stella news... you know how I told you that 5% of the mini print sets will have an original Hultberg drawing hidden inside? Well, here's a sneak peek of one of these drawings...



Again, the print sets will be released at the opening reception of Stella's show this Friday in SF. If you cannot make it to the opening, we'll be taking phone and email orders starting this Saturday, March 29th at 12PM PST.

Silent Spring

Stella IM Hultberg's much anticipated solo show finally opens NEXT FRIDAY! To celebrate this exciting show we're releasing Stella mini chase prints and one new larger print!

Here's the mini print set...



The sets contain four Stella prints, including

"Always..."

and 10% of the sets will also have a hidden chase print.

Each giclee print is 4 x 5 inches and the sets are limited edition of 500. They're printed on Sommerset Velvet Fine Art paper and will be signed and numbered by Stella. We'll be selling the sets for $80.00 each.

Oh yea, and did I mention that 25 of the sets will also have an original Stella IM Hultberg 4 x 5 inch drawing? Yep, that's right!

We're also releasing a larger giclee print from the new show...

The Fight Club inspired print seems to be the one everyone is waiting for, including my mom and girlfriend. At Noon PST on Tuesday, November 20th, you can call the LA gallery at (323) 937 - 7088 or the SF gallery at (415) 409 - 1376 and pick one up. US shipping is $20, international is $30. All this info and more at Crazy4Cult.com. There will be NO reserving this print, as this is a PRE ORDER, and will ship 3-4 weeks after the 20th.

Besides that, all is well here at the crime scene. We had finger prints taken today, so that felt rather Steve Guttenberg in Police Academy (The Citizens on Patrol one). New glass window goes up soon, and looks like we'll join the Melrose masses with a gate set-up to detour anyone from doing what this dude did (a.k.a. smash our window, run inside, rummage through random boxes of switches in the gallery to turn off the loud noise, attempt to open the register, realize you can't, then run out as the alarm is jarring your hearing and vision).

Someone just drove by the gallery playing "Careless Whisper" really loud, at an octave I usually hear a Chamillionare or Lil' Wayne song. I want to be friends with the person in that car.

Saturday at Golden Apple Comics, next door to the gallery, they have a cocktail party signing at 5 PM with UK artist Kevin O'Neil. He's the artist and co-creator that did the INCREDIBLE "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" comic (p.s. they had NOTHING to do with the movie, thank God) with writer Alan Moore. Tomorrow, Tuesday, will actually be the release of their highly anticipated third installment to the series, "The Black Dossier." I've been waiting for this one for quite some time now. I plan on getting through it rather quick, like I did the PS3 Simpsons Game this weekend. It's been a nerdy month so far and I still haven't started the Star Wars Lego game for Wii. I'm hoping to get some pimples to match my interests.

Be Kind, Guys Time

Putting the finishing touches on the Guys' Guys group show which opens tomorrow night in Los Angeles with an opening reception from 7-10 PM! The work looks GREAT all together and some really good buys in this one. You can actually preview the show, and purchase pieces before the opening even starts, by checking out http://www.g1988preview.blogspot.com. Actually, I'll have two of the Stella "Always" prints to sell (they SOLD OUT in about 3 minutes last week up in SF), so I'll only sell them to people who #1) come to the LA opening tomorrow night and #2) read the blog. So come to Guys' Guys, buy the print that sold out FASTER than any print in 1988 history and leave a very happy person. But again, only the first two people at the LA opening.

In totally unrelated news, Michel Gondry's new trailer hit the Internet, and it looks great. I had first heard the idea a few years ago, and thought it could turn out a bit cheesy, but I just might be wrong...but totally happy to be wrong. Check it out:
