Next upppp in LA

We're so excited to announce our next show at Gallery1988: Los Angeles, "The Ordinary Life Of Death," which is the debut LA solo show for Montreal native Johnny Bergeron (formerly the artist known as Johnny Crap). We're also proud to have new works on display from Russian native Lora Zombie, who will be showing her largest collection of works yet also.

This show will open Tuesday, April 27 with an opening reception from 7-10 PM and from the previews I've seen from both artists (soon to be seen here on the blog as well!), it's gonna be an impressive one.

This is the last week to check out the Kathie Olivas/Brandt Peters show as well, so swing by if you've been putting it off.

Pressing Matters

Found two articles on the Internet about G1988:LA that I dig.

First is the coverage of Kathie and Brandt's current exhibit at the Examiner.com. You can read that by CLICKING HERE, but more importantly you can stop by G1988:LA still to see this awe-inspiring exhibit.

And then, there's nothing like foreign coverage.

If you speak Portuguese, check out the coverage on this Brazilian site for our Masters of the Universe show by CLICKING HERE.

Also, I hear we're in WIRED magazine this month, so I'll follow up on that immediately.

Wait here.

Amicus Monstrum

I can't tell you how excited am I for our next show in SF, which features the work of Nathan Stapley and Scott Campbell. These two long-time gallery friends are two of my favorite people on the planet. They used to live in SF, but they both ditched me in 2008 and moved all the way to New York! BUT they're both coming into town for the opening of their new show on May 1st!! I'm happy because not only do I love their work, but they are possibly the most fun people to hang out with ever.

I guarantee you will have fun at this show, you must come!

And on another note... I wanted to point out that one of the pieces in our current show needs to find a good home. "Cow" by Christian Montenegro is my favorite of the ARK Project prints that we included in our current DGPH show. I'm going to be so bummed if "Cow" doesn't find a home! Not only is the print one of a kind, but the sales proceeds will also be donated to the World Wildlife Fund. AND it's framed! How can you resist?

Beautiful Week

As we close our first week of "Living Between Worlds," we're so excited to have a such an incredible show to look at everyday. If you haven't taken a look at the whole show, you're just not as smart as you think you are. BUT, you can fix that by CLICKING HERE. An absolutely stunning show from Kathie Olivas and Brandt Peters.

And here are some pictures from the opening reception, mostly of the band "The Peculiar Pretzelmen," who put on quite the show for attendees.

And here are some pictures of Kathie and Brandt's installations from the show, which are art pieces all themselves.

That one also lights up with tons of colors at night...

You've got until the 23rd to see this show live at G1988:LA, so stop by and say hello.
